| If the memory ever fills up on your box and it won't let you order pay per views anymore. Repeat step 4. If that fails, try this: Unplug the power. Have someone hold the ON/OFF and SETUP button at the same time. Plug it back in while still holding the buttons in for at least 20 seconds and then release. This should completely reset the memory. If it's reset to the point that it's not working, take the filter off, put the cable back on and call the cable company and say your kid was messing with the box and it's not working. They will turn it back on over the phone. Then install the filter again. If you have a different brand of box than the ones listed above do this: Find your power button and then select one of the other buttons on the box. Push the two buttons at the same time and hold for 20 seconds. Repeat this procedure using the power button and all the rest of the buttons on the box until each of the buttons has had it's turn. (Example: Hold the power + select buttons for 20 seconds, then the power + menu buttons for 20 seconds, etc until they all have their turn.) Then immediately unplug the box. Let it sit for at least 30 seconds unplugged. Plug the box back in and wait until you hear a click before you turn it back on (some may not make the clicking sound) just wait 1 minute before turning back on if that's your case. The memory should be clear now. You will know it's cleared when it temporarily forgets the names of your channels. If you have to call in to order your pay per views then this will not work for you. You must be able to order them through your remote! Once the filter is installed on your box DO NOT REMOVE IT! It may result in double charges! This is not a descrambler and will not descramble channels. This is to insure your privacy only. It is your responsibility to contact your cable company and notify them of the pay per views you watch since they will never know.
